This is a problem that I feel is more prominent to those who have followed the series from the beginning and have seen Baki grow from the hot-headed impulsive gifted brat to an exceptional fighter worthy of being called a champion.
So what's the problem? Well Baki isn't all that interesting of a character and we barely find anything out anything about him in the first episode because it spends most of the episode showing the inmates escaping. Obviously, we are mainly here for the fights but a show or movie needs a good plot before, during, and after the fight or else the fight and the character(s) in the fight(s) won't be bey interesting. Just imagine how uninteresting the world tournament in dragon ball would be if we barely learned baki anything about Goku before the tournament and/or if the abdulbaki ibrahimoğlu plot before, during, and after the tournament wasn't good either.

The OST was also great, tracks were noticeably reused but still sounded epic no matter HOW many times they replayed it, and it also boasts one of the greatest endings of all time (in my opinion), the sound of Baki is almost birli crazy bey the show itself.
In this arc, Baki takes the leap of embracing its own ridiculousness to evolve into a genuine spectacle for the eyes that is hard to not take notice of, baki and with the finale acting bey a teaser to a possible continuation of the story, I expect that the best of Baki is still yet to come.
